Welcome to Sandollar
ASCA Registered Kennel #4827 Est. 2012
Sandollar Australian Shepherds is a small hobby show/breeding kennel founded by me, Lindsey Johns (Grinels). I thank my parents for choosing to own the best breed out there and therefore kick-starting my love for Aussies. We got our first two Aussies, Cody and Amber, from Janice Brough at Otter Creek Aussies. Amber was my first show dog when I started Junior Showmanship at the age of 7. During my junior years, I worked for various handlers who taught me the ins and outs of handling, grooming, and breeding. A special thanks to All-Breed Handler and Breeder, Kay Palade, who mentored me for 10 years.
After aging out of juniors and graduating high school, I earned my B.S. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Central Florida. Now, I can devote more time to Sandollar Aussies and my career as a Professional Handler and Junior Judge. The left picture above is of my foundation bitch, Aubrie. Aubrie was co-bred by Juli Wiseman and I. I owe many thanks to Juli for giving me my heart dog, Teagan, GCH Skyecove's Out and About, and being an amazing mentor in my breeding program. Aubrie and Teagan have taken me to heights I only dreamed about. You can learn more about them on their individual pages.
I keep my "kennel" small in order to devote exceptional time to each of my dogs. My dogs are family members to me and live in the house year round. My goals are to breed high quality, well rounded Australian Shepherds that fit the breed standard. Health, structure, and temperament are all of equal importance and using these as a starting point, I hope to continue to bring only the best into the world. Every puppy I breed is and will be carefully placed in a loving and responsible home where they can strive to be the top performer, show dog, or companion that every Aussies should be!
